Outline
Renovation of the residence of a family of Shinto priests (Tsukimiya) in the precinct of a Shinto shrine. The 36-year-old building, where the location and orientation of the kamidana (sacred altar) was the top priority, has been reconfigured to create an environment that is favorable to both gods and humans, including lighting, water, entrances, and stairs, all of which are related to the comfort and health of the residents.
