Outline
This is a house for a family who returned to the area after being affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and temporary evacuation. Four earthen walls made of leftover soil are raised in a U-shape as structural walls and placed in an east-west crank shape. The earthen walls serve as a boundary between the north-south full-opening rooms and the surrounding area, and also serve as partitions between rooms.
