A House in Tanakahigashitakahara-cho

Outline
Renovation of a house in a residential area on the northeast side of Kyoto. The existing building is divided into three sections with a north-south frontage. It was divided into a main house and a detached house through a sunroom, and a garden was placed on the south side. For the renovation, the building was combined into a single building, the opening on the south side facing the garden was made as large as possible, and a new axis crossing the three divided rooms in the east-west direction was created. A terrace is placed around the building, creating a planar expanse from the interior to the terrace and garden.
