The building is located in a quiet residential area in Naha City. The form of the building was derived from the privacy, the harsh climate of Okinawa, and the specification of the roof slope in the district plan. The three-dimensional volume enclosing the courtyard and terrace, which are surrounded by a screen of openwork blocks, creates its own shadows and invites the wind in. The interior of the building, with its public space at the center and accompanying rooms, has a megaphone-like expanse and is well connected.
