Atelier Bow-wow
Outline
The house is built on a plot of land with a narrow frontage and a long depth. Taking advantage of the difference in elevation of the site, the house is split into two buildings, one with a basement and two stories above ground on the street side, and the other with two stories above ground at the rear of the site, with an earthen courtyard in between. The five gable walls with different finishes in the longitudinal direction have openings in the same position, allowing the view from the back of the site to the street.
