Outline
The building is located in a corner of a farming village where a traditional community has been formed. A new relationship with the outside is created by incorporating spaces that are neither inside nor outside, such as the space under the eaves of the large roof of the farmhouse and the barn, as "space under the roof". The structure consists of a large roof that covers the living space, and various rooms with specific functions are arranged as boxes under the roof. By opening and closing the sliding doors installed in the boxes, the space is not directly in contact with the outside, but rather as a "soto" that spreads inside the building.
