Outline
It is a two-family house connected horizontally, and the child household is a simple cube of 4ma (7,280mm) square in both plan and elevation. The cubic frame is a 910-module vertical and horizontal grid of 2x2 wood (2″ x 12″), and the building itself is furnished by covering it with an outer skin, and the space is composed of three-dimensional volumes, with a level difference between each room. In contrast, the parent household is a linear space, with volumes replaced by horizontal vectors. The children's space is located closest to the parent's household, and is accessible via a multipurpose space, thus maintaining a balanced sense of distance between the households.
