Outline
This is a house for an inn owner built next to an existing inn. Taking advantage of the site environment with a mountain in the background, an old highway in the front, and neighboring houses on both sides, the plan is curved from the side of the mountain cliff to create a gap between the neighboring houses in order to secure lighting and a view. The living space is placed between the staircase room and the gap, which is the seismic core of the building. 50mm square steel pipes and 25×100mm FB are used to construct the post and beam, which expresses lightness and openness in the living space.
