The villa stands in the middle of the slope. The axis of the slope and the axis of the opening overlooking Mount Asama are offset, so the plane is bent 45 degrees in the middle. Inside, the ceiling rises up, and a cedar-boarded turret is built into it in a nested configuration. All the openings except the large one are slits to let light in linearly.
