Outline
The site is 22 tsubos with old leasehold. There was a leasehold condition of a wooden two-story building. The owner is a printmaker, and a studio space was required. Therefore, in order to secure the maximum volume, it is an irregular two-story building with three levels where the second floor level skips a large distance (about 2m). The living room (2nd floor) and the atelier (1st floor) are attached to the low-ceilinged space (entrance, room 1, 2, 3), which can be made into private rooms with fittings and curtains according to the changes of the family. The atelier and the living room are connected through an atrium, and the breeze that enters through the ground floor window on the first floor passes through the sawtooth bench in the second floor living room and exits through the electric top light above the living room, creating a pleasant flow of air.
