WAKO KINDERGARTEN, ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Outline
Reconstruction of the kindergarten and elementary school, leaving some of the existing buildings intact. Demolition work was carried out over three phases without constructing temporary school buildings. The open corridor surrounding the ground is connected to the kindergarten, elementary school, and existing elementary school buildings, bringing about a linkage of functions. Vertical wooden lattice shutters with acrylic panels are installed on all sides. Geothermal heat is used for air conditioning, and air is supplied through slits in the floor or walls.
