OKA MASAKAZU HOUSE

Outline
Renovation of "OKA MASAKAZU HOUSE" designed by Antonin Raymond, completed in 1934. The building was originally a villa, but since it was used as a permanent residence, major alterations were made mainly to the exterior walls, which were restored to their original state by referring to the original drawings and photographs of the time. Some of the facilities and equipment have been changed to modern specifications, and the designer has dared to make some alterations in consideration of Raymond's ideas, so the renovation is not a faithful restoration, but a rehabilitation work.
