- This elementary school was built in the Minato Mirai 21 district of Yokohama City. It was planned as a temporary facility for 10 years, because the number of classrooms was expected to be insufficient due to the increase in the number of children in the commuting area of Yokohama City Honmachi Elementary School. The school building was designed to be economical and easy to dismantle, and at the same time to be comfortable for the children, with lighting from the courtyard and a hangout area around the stairs.
