- The second school building after the Weimar School of the Bauhaus, founded by Walter Gropius. The Bauhaus was a modern revival of the "Bauhütte," the site of the Gothic cathedral construction, which was a place for integrated artistic activities and apprenticeship education. The school building, with its horizontal curtain wall, smooth walls, and flat roof, is a model of the "international architecture" that Gropius insisted was born from common materials, technology, and rational thinking. The building blocks are connected by an administration building that straddles the road.
