Outline: This project involves the phased construction of wooden rental housing units on vacant lots within the “anko” (inner block) area—surrounded by the “gawa” (outer perimeter)—where the developer has long managed the land as rental property. The current TAKANAWA NODE project constitutes the fourth phase of this plan. It consists of a three-story, seven-unit row house; on the second floor, where units are stacked one above the other, porches and terraces extending from north to south have been incorporated.
