Outline: The academic building for the “Faculty of Digital Co-creation,” newly established as the second faculty at Kyōai Gakuen Maebashi International University. In line with the faculty’s distinctive character, the design centers on a large open space that promotes interaction among students and between students and faculty, and is planned to allow people from both inside and outside the university to pass through. It stands alongside Building No. 4, “KYOAI COMMONS” (designed by Kumiko Inui Architectural Design Office; featured in this magazine, Issue 1205), and Building No. 5, “KYOAI GLOCAL GATEWAY” (designed by Kazuko Akamatsu + Shinya Omura / CAt; featured in this magazine, Issue 2105).
