Outline: Construction of a new mixed-use complex on the site of a former public hospital, integrating a library, a child-rearing and health center, an indoor playground, and a multipurpose hall. The complex consists of single-story, separate buildings arranged in a way that harmonizes with the height and scale of the surrounding residential neighborhood. A grassy plaza is situated at the center of the separate buildings, and “shelf frames”—which serve both as bookcases and structural elements—are installed along the boundaries of each building.
