KYOTO MARUYAMA PARK SOCIAL SALON + CAFE

Outline
A traditional Japanese house built in 1967 in Kyoto’s Maruyama Park was renovated into a cultural salon and café. The ceiling features bamboo louvers (φ=25mm, 30mm) coated with a breathable paint. The floor is laid with half-ken tatami mats in a staggered pattern, and the right-hand wall is a Juraku-style plaster wall. The building was renovated to serve as a hub for the owner’s cultural activities, and events are held regularly at the cultural salon.
