Outline: Relocation and new construction of a private clinic that opened in 1931. A two-story wooden structure. The reception area and examination rooms are located at the center of a cross-shaped floor plan, with radial circulation routes extending outward. The first-floor roof is a gable roof with the ridge running diagonally across the inner corners of the floor plan. The second floor, featuring a single-slope roof, projects from the center of the first-floor main roof. From the walls upward, the structure—including the rising beams (including the H-beam shown on the left in the photo) are arranged according to the orthogonal grid of the floor plan, while the ridge, purlins, and H-beam bracing (shown on the right in the photo) are positioned according to the slanted grid of the first-floor roof. The overlap of these two structural grids creates lines of sight and movement in multiple directions.
