Outline: This bookstore reopened on the first through third floors following the reconstruction of the Sanseido Bookstore Jimbocho Main Store. The sales floors on each level feature distinct layouts. On the first floor, which faces two streets, tall bookshelves line both sides of the central aisle to create a “valley-like” sales space, with a loft situated at the highest point. The axis of this “canyon” aligns with the road at the southern end of Suzuran-dori, extending the “landscape of books” into the streets of Jimbocho.
