- Outline
- Kyosei Town is operated by the social welfare corporation FUTSUDOEN, which aims to create a "mixed" living environment for everyone, without dividing the elderly, children, and people with and without disabilities. While adopting the "pattern language" method, the project aims to create rich interactions among people by distributing and arranging child welfare facilities, rental housing for the elderly with services, housing for students, hot spring facilities that can be used by local residents, restaurants, stores, and farms, etc., in the existing natural environment. This is a pioneering example of a Japanese version of CCRC (a community for the elderly that provides continuous care from the time of health to the time of nursing care).
