- In the middle of a 30,000 m2 plaza that cuts through the dense urban fabric of Manhattan, where the World Trade Center (1973), once known as the Twin Towers, once stood, are two rectangular holes. The holes are bordered by a fine-textured waterfall that drops nearly 9 meters from the ground to form a water table, with the center plunging even deeper. Looking into the holes from the ground. The names of the victims are engraved on a cold copper plate, the tragedy of 9.11 (the 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States) symbolized by their absence.
