- Built on the site of a former terraced field, the houses are self-sustaining accommodations that use solar heat, rainwater, and firewood for their living without electricity or gas. The thermal environment is adjusted in response to changes in the natural environment, using local techniques such as printing and shoji screens. Sustainability and the rediscovery of local resources are practiced through the medium of architecture. The inn is currently closed.
