IZM – Illwerke Zentrum Montafon

Outline
The headquarters of an electric power company built on the shore of a lake. The five-story building is a mixed structure with a reinforced concrete core and wooden columns and beams, using the same construction method as Life Cycle Tower ONE (2012), the first eight-story wooden building in Austria. The multi-story structure is realized with floor slabs made of a combination of laminated wood and concrete. Local timber was used for the structure and interior, and the wooden portion was assembled in approximately six weeks.
