Euralille
OMA, Jean Nouvel, Christian de Portzamparc
- Outline
- Rem Koolhaas was selected as the master architect for this redevelopment project, which accompanied the construction of the new TGV connecting Paris, London, and Brussels, through an international competition organized by Euraleel, a public-private organization. The design process, which was carried out in collaboration with various architects, became the starting point for today's urban development in France. Kazuo Shinohara, a Japanese architect, was involved in the design of the hotel (right), although it was not realized due to the economic situation.
