Maggie’s Edinburgh

Outline
Inspired by her own cancer experience, Maggie K. Jencks renovated a barn on the hospital grounds to create a place for "people living with cancer. It has been enlarged twice, and small niches are scattered throughout the open plan, and together with the garden, an intimate space emerges. Maggie's intentions have been carried on, and to date there are 24 centers in the U.K., and outside the U.K. in Hong Kong, Barcelona, and Tokyo.
