Saishunkan Seiyaku Women’s Dormitory
Kazuyo Sejima
- Outline
- This women's dormitory consists of four bedrooms and a large common living space. The common living space, which is external to the residents, is a bright outdoor-like space with top lights and large openings, with the equipment tower covered with transparent and reflective materials that eliminate its presence as a structure. On the architectural surface, four materials of different transparency are treated equivalently, with their thicknesses erased, and the structure loses its weight and becomes ambiguous.
