Gare do Oriente

Outline
Built as a transportation hub for the 1998 Lisbon Expo, it also serves as an urban axis connecting the surrounding neighborhoods. 40 tree-like transparent continuous roofs made of steel and glass span the platform above the bridge structure, which is composed of five rows of arches. The geometry of these tree-like columns was parametrically designed using an algorithm.
