- Like the ventilation system of an ant mound, there are supply and exhaust chimneys in the center of the office building. Air drawn from the atrium is supplied to the offices from the underfloor side, and then discharged from the ceiling side to the exterior of the roof. The concrete ornamentation not only protects the openings from the sun, but also increases the surface area of the building to improve heat loss at night and minimize heat gain during the day.
