Seitogakusha

Outline
A group of people who were "defeated" in the movements to establish a night junior high school and the Zenkyoto Movement spent about five years to build the building by themselves under the architectural design of Susumu Takasuga and the technical guidance of Hideo Miyashita, the building's master builder. The materials used for the building were recycled railroad sleepers, which became the principle of the architecture, including the dimensional system, construction method, and roof slopes.
