Outline
Ishii's own residence, the starting point of a series of 22 houses he designed in Mt. Ishii's three-level composition nestled in the undulating topography of the Hanshin mountains, the lawn-greened roof, unmilled log columns, and corridors surrounding a courtyard of moso bamboo create a sense of being embedded in the land.
