860-880 Lake Shore Drive Apartments

Outline
This 26-story steel and glass high-rise apartment building, realized from a plan presented by Mies in the 1920s, consists of two identical 3 x 5-span buildings, each with a 6.4-meter grid of uniform ramen, arranged at 90 degrees to each other. The verticality is emphasized by the main frame and the I-beam mullions affixed to the main frame.
