Walter Adolf Gropius + Pietro Belluschi and others
- Outline
- The octagonal plan with the four corners of the rectangle dropped reduces the intimidation of a high-rise building. It was the first full-scale PC curtain wall building constructed in New York City, and escalators and high-speed elevators were introduced. Renamed the MetLife Building in 1991.
