Falling Water
Frank Lloyd Wright
- Outline
- A large cantilevered reinforced concrete slab is inserted into a rugged rocky terrain overlooking a waterfall, creating an organic and dynamic space. The rough stone of the interior evokes a collision between the earth and the floor slab. The client, E. J. Kaufmann, is a department store manager and the owner of the Neutra-designed Kaufmann House.
