- The carved Oya stone and perforated terra cotta create a geometric pattern of thorough decoration. The murals, sculptures, furniture, rugs, lighting fixtures, and tableware were all created by Wright himself. The building is a mixed structure of partly reinforced concrete and escaped collapse in the Great Kanto Earthquake that struck on September 1, the day the building was opened. It was demolished in 1968 for reconstruction, but the central entrance was moved and preserved in the Museum Meiji-Mura.
