- The building is considered a pioneer of modern architecture using reinforced concrete construction. Clad with tiles by Alexandre Bigot, a well-known ceramicist, the structural system by François Ennubic created a framework with clear columns and beams. The reinforced concrete framework structure by Pere had a profound influence on Le Corbusier, who gained practical experience at the Pere office from 1908 to 1909.
