NIKKEN SEKKEI

Outline: This is a redevelopment plan of Kyoto City Hall (first phase construction completed in 1927), designed by Shinichi Nakano of the Kyoto City Management and Repair Division and supervised by Goichi Takeda. The functions of government buildings that had been dispersed in the surrounding areas were consolidated, and the main government building was renovated, the north and west government buildings were rebuilt, and a new annex building was constructed.
