- Renovation of the Yokohama Museum of Art (designed by Kenzo Tange & Associates for Urban and Architectural Design; Shinkenchiku 8907 issue), which was completed in 1989. Together with the Grand Mall Park (Shinkenchiku 1803 issue) in front of the building, it was the first public facility in the district to be opened. The louvers on the top lights, which had been stuck open for many years due to mechanical failure, were replaced.
