Outline: Michi no Eki (Road Station) was planned in front of JR Mihama Station as a hub on the east-west axis connecting Tsuruga City, where the Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet train has just opened, with the famous Mikata Goko (Five Lakes of Mikata). The station is designed to have functions such as an agricultural produce market, restaurants, and childcare support facilities, and to have a clear flow line connecting the central plaza (center of photo) to many other rooms.
