CENTER OF EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FOR HOKKAIDO WINES

Outline
The oldest existing wooden building in Hokkaido University (designed by Seiichiro Chujo, completed in 1901) and the masonry building to the north (completed in 1927) were renovated. both buildings are used as industry-academia-government collaboration facilities for research, development and promotion of wine. The center building has a new foundation independent of the existing perimeter walls and foundation, and a steel frame was constructed to be earthquake resistant.
