GRAND GREEN OSAKA

Outline
The development of a 24-hectare area that was formerly the Umeda Freight Station of Japan National Railways, which opened in 1874, is the second phase of the Grand Front Osaka project, following the 7-hectare Umekita Preceding Development Area District "Grand Front Osaka" (overall supervision: Nikken Sekkei + Mitsubishi Jisho Sekkei + NTT Facilities; Shinkenchiku 1306 issue), which was completed in 2013. The project was opened in advance for a total of 4.3 hectares, including the South Park, part of the North Park, the North Building (North District Leasing Building), the pedestrian deck in the Umekita area of JR Osaka Station, the North Building, and a portion of the surrounding roads.
