- It was constructed as part of the third phase of the reconstruction plan for Totsukawa Village, which was damaged by the Kii Peninsula flood in September 2011. The building was constructed as part of the third phase of the reconstruction plan for Totsukawa Village, which was damaged by the Kii Peninsula flood in September 2011. The structure and finishes are made of 100% lumber produced in the village. The braces are softly angled as a result of adjusting the height of their intersections to match the handrails and sashes.
