RENOVATION BUILDING IN DOUGENZAKA -STANDUMINEKO SIB100-

Outline: A four-story steel-framed building located in the Hyakkendana area of Shibuya was converted into a beer stand. A cutter was cut into the exterior wall and a large opening (3.8 m wide x 4.6 m high) was made so that the first and second floors are continuous; opening up the second floor creates a new openness that was not present in Hyakken-dana, and visualizes the potential public nature of this town.
