TOYO ITO&ASSOCIATES, ARCHITECTS TAKENAKA CORPORATION
- Outline
- This cultural complex includes a theater, library, childcare support center, civic activity center, and planetarium, and was constructed to replace the Civic Auditorium, which closed in 2015, by integrating the functions of the welfare and cultural center and library. Workshops such as the "Civic Hall 100 People's Meeting" were held to discuss the use and management of the former civic hall site, and the mayor and citizens engaged in dialogue. A circular atrium space, "Vertical Way," runs through each floor.
