- This is a reconstruction of the former civic center, which was rendered unusable by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, and includes large, medium, and small halls, conference rooms, exhibition rooms, and studios. The plaza, which runs through the site from north to south, is constructed of large-section fire-resistant laminated timber.
