AWAKURA KAIKAN

A two-story wooden complex with a village office, library, and space for civic activities in nishiawakura village, okayama prefecture, where 93% of the village area is forest. more than 95% of the wood used in the building was produced in the village as a model for wood utilization under the "100-year forest concept," in which the entire village manages the village forest, which has grown over the past 50 years, for another 50 years to come.
