Office of a japanese company in harrisburg, pennsylvania, usa. the site overlooks the appalachian mountains. to allow rainwater to soak into the hardened and compacted ground, 14 swales were placed throughout the site. the tree-like shape of the building allows rainwater falling from the gutterless roof to spread over the entire site via the swales.
