A NAGAYA AND A HISTORICAL ALLAY WITH CONTAINERS IN KYOTO
SHIGENORI UOYA ARCHITECTS AND ASSOCIATES
- Outline
- A two-story steel-framed building was newly built on a 100-year-old row house. The cost was reduced by using used distribution containers for each room. A new steel-framed floor is built on top of the row house. Apart from the structure, the floor is only connected to the building by anti-sway bars.
