A&A LIAM FUJI

Outline
The building is the first phase of the "A&A" project, in which contemporary artists and Japanese architects collaborate to construct a lodging facility in Okayama City. h=2,600 x t=210mm CLT is assembled in the shape of a rice paddy, and stacked on top of each other to create a single connected space. On the façade, Liam Gillick, an artist working in New York, has installed a meteorological equation developed by meteorologist Yoshiro Manabe.
