W' – IZUSHI GALLERY＋A&A JONATHAN HASEGAWA –

Outline: This is an accommodation facility with an attached gallery, located in the cultural area of Okayama City between Korakuen Garden and Okayama Prefectural Museum of Art. It is the first project of the A&A project, in which contemporary artists and Japanese architects collaborate to create a "house" and operate it as a hotel. "A&A Jonathan Hasegawa" (hotel, left, designed by Go Hasegawa Architects + Jonathan Monk) and "Izushi Gallery" (gallery, right, designed by Jun Aoki Architects) were built as one. An "infrastructure" in the shape of a "W" runs through the entire building, and each space is created using this as a clue.
